I have a great husband. On the way home from a family event, fully dressed in a suit and tie (& me in a dress & heels), I made him trash pick a dresser that I thought would be perfect for our navy & gray guest room. We had a white dresser in the room, which worked “fine”, but that’s about it, just “fine”. I am curious what my sweet husband thought when he saw the dresser I wanted him to snatch out of someone’s discards.
I immediately started sanding. I wasn’t sure how I was going to finish it yet, so I took to Pinterest for some ideas. And I found this fabulous piece from Salvaged Inspirations!
So I got out my Hale Navy from Benjamin Moore and some espresso stain & ordered some great pulls from anthropologie! The dresser being free gave me the freedom to splurge on pulls if I wanted to, but these actually were pretty reasonable!
I’m really happy with how this turned out with the body being Hale Navy and the top stained dark. I finished the top with butcher’s wax and couldn’t be more pleased with how it all turned out!
