Happy Friday! As I write, we have 45 days until Christmas! Which, yes, I know, means that Thanksgiving has not yet passed. Normally I am very strict about no decorating, music…nothing until after Thanksgiving. Normally. But I am itching to get started decorating for Christmas. So far, I have successfully helped myself off, but it is getting tougher by the day…so I thought I would post some photos that I found on Pinterest that I love. I cannot say my decor will look like this, as I am not going out and buying all new holiday decor, but it may inspire me to mix things up and maybe it will do the same for you! Enjoy!
I love the look of greenery and burlap, so simple. If I get inspired enough, I may try my hand at making this Joy door decor…We shall see how the next few weeks go! I love the size of it too. My home is set pretty far back from the street, so it would be really nice to be able to see the decor from the street. Greenery is my favorite thing to use all over the house, I troll all the after Christmas sales to add to my collection. The tougher part, I find, is finding greenery without lights on it these days, which is what I prefer. I don’t like seeing cords everywhere or messing with timers if I can help it.
A variation of the above display can be created with a multitude of different glass candleholders and greenery. Toss a few pinecones around the bases, use something to vary the heights, and you have e a lovely coffee table display!
This shelving display makes me so happy! It’s just so simple and festive! Seriously, trolling the internet before pulling all your stuff out can really help you mix things up!
I am one of the lucky gals who has a sled from my parents, similar to the one below, so it lives on my porch all winter. At the Kirkland grand opening near us, I bought a cranberry wreath that I may try on it this year, but I do LOVE this super simple arrangement…
So I continue to TRY to wait until after Thanksgiving….but I just don’t know if it will happen this year! How about you??
